October 1, 2020: An exhibition of paintings by the cubist artist WIZ KUDOWOR opened at the Aidoo Centre today. The 10 works represent the essence of Kudowor’s work.
Born in Takoradi,Wisdom Kudowor” is described by aficionados as the “transcultural visionary”. The product of the College of Art at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology works in his studio in Dzorwulu, Accra – Ghana.
Wiz works with a foam roller and a palette knife and creates strong and intense paintings which combine styles, themes and expressive patterns from different cultural backgrounds. Wiz Kudowor has been exhibited in solo and group shows for almost 30 years with exhibitions in Africa, Europe, Asia and the U.S.
The Aidoo Centre exhibition is open from 9:00am to 5:00pm every weekday for the next month.
